Carrot Orange Sweet Potato Dessert Juice – a delicious dessert juice filled with mostly orange fruit and vegetables
We’ve reached the end of the WhittyPaleo Juice Fast Restart Series! If you checked out my first post, you’ll see that I wanted to do something to give myself not only a physical restart but a mental one. The act of the juice fast was to rid myself of everything that had happened since January and begin again. My Carrot Orange Sweet Potato Dessert Juice is the perfect juice to end on!
This delicious fruit and vegetable juice is a sweet one. Even though I used some vegetables, I picked the sweeter ones to allow myself a break from the green vegetable juices. Again, if you have seen my other dessert juices, they are all supposed to revive your tastebuds once again, to continue on your juice fast longer. They aren’t to be drunk regularly; I’d say a good ratio is every 8 green vegetable juice to every 1 dessert juice. Trust me, when you’re on a prolonged juice fast it matters!
So, with this Carrot Orange Sweet Potato Dessert Juice recipe, I’d like to direct you to my post on how to break a juice fast safely. This is probably THE MOST IMPORTANT PART of your juice fast! Breaking it wrongly could mean you throw all your hard work down the drain and you could do yourself some serious harm! This is particularly important for those who go on juice fasts longer than 7 days.
In essence, you must make sure you break your fast gently; I always start off with smoothies, then work my way up to raw fruit and veg, starting with the softest to the hardest. Then, after I feel my digestive system has woken back up again, I introduce some protein, eggs, then fish/chicken. To get a little candid, I make sure that I’ve done a proper number 2 – it gives me the assurance that everything is working as it should again.

Carrot Orange Sweet Potato Dessert Juice
This Carrot Orange Sweet Potato Dessert Juice is filled with mostly orange fruits and vegetables and is the perfect refreshing juice for your juice fast or cleanse or something healthy to drink in the summer heat!
- 2 oranges
- 3-4 medium sweet potatoes
- 10 carrots
- 1 large cucumber
- 2 small lemons
- 2 limes
Run all your fruit and veg through your juicer. Alternate between soft and harder fruits and vegetables so that they run through your juicer smoothly and you get the most yield.
