Bacon Wrapped Caramelised Onions Stuffed Chicken Breast – this is the BEST JUICY CHICKEN BREAST recipe you’ll ever have! Everything about this recipe is EPIC!
Jump to RecipeSo, you guys should know me by now, I love doing 5* chef-y things and this time, it’s stuffing chicken breasts. If you’re new to WhittyPaleo.com, you’re gonna have a ball with my recipes. I’m not the best cook in the world (actually, I think I’m amazing because self-love and all that) but I make sure to have the best time cooking – I only hope you’ll have the same!
This Bacon Wrapped Caramelised Onions Stuffed Chicken Breast recipe is literally a *juicy* mouthful! I made four chicken breasts and fed myself, my friends and my sister. My friend licked her plate and my sister actually said that it banged (slang for it was GOOOOD). I’ve probably mentioned this before but that means a whole lot coming from her!
A little time is needed to prepare this Bacon Wrapped Stuffed Chicken Breasts recipe (not a lot) but I’m pretty sure you’ll have fun doing it. Stuffing chicken is one of the easiest things. There are two ways I know how, depending on the size of your breast:
- Place the breast on some cling film and top it with another layer of cling film. Get out your rolling pin and just take out any frustration you have for the day smash it till it becomes flatter and wider. Stuff with about 1-2 tablespoons of your mixture and roll the chicken breast (almost like a wrap). This is the FUN way!
- If you have a larger chicken breast, you can actually cut a flap from the meatier side of the breast
I’m using the caramelised onions and apples from my last post, as the stuffing for this recipe but please, take this idea and make it your own! After all, you do have to eat the food lol.
Bacon Wrapped Chicken Breast is the best invention ever. The fat from the bacon gently seasons the chicken breast and makes sure to keep it moist so your chicken breast will never dry out. I like to top it with a little black pepper and a drizzle of honey for that sweet and salty flavour. My goodness, what more could you ask for?!
Bacon Wrapped Caramelised Onions Stuffed Chicken Breasts - chicken breasts stuffed with sweet caramelised onions and apples and wrapped in bacon drizzled with a light amount of honey
- 2 chicken breasts
- 6-8 strips bacon
- 2 tbsp honey
- Black pepper
- 4-5 tbsp caramelised onions & apples (see notes for recipe)
-
Preheat oven to 190C/375F.
-
Using any of the methods above, stuff your chicken breasts. (Either by cutting a flap open, or smashing the chicken breast flat and rolling the chicken breast).
-
Wrap chicken breasts in 3-4 strips of bacon each.
-
Sprinkle with black pepper and top with 1 tbsp honey each.
-
Place on a non-stick baking tray or non-stick foil paper for 40-45mins.
-
Serve and enjoy with cauliflower rice and veg (I used lightly fried cabbage – I like the crunch)

April, 2017 at 5:55 PMLove the look of the bacon wrapped, onion stuffed chicken breasts. Want to try, but what temp do I bake he chicken?
WhittyPaleo
April, 2017 at 9:29 PMHi Dave, I was in such a rush to get the recipe out I completely missed that part ha! Really depending on your oven settings, anywhere between 175C/350F – 200C/400F would be fine. If you’d like your bacon crispier, I’d say stick with the highest setting, if not, the lowest is fine. I’ve updated the recipe to show the setting I think is best also! Please let me know what you think of the recipe and thanks for stopping by! 🙂
