Apple Cucumber Spinach Green Juice Recipe – the delicious cucumber spinach juice recipe that you’ve been waiting for! Find out why green juices are good for you!
Jump to RecipeFinally, the juice cleanse recipe you’ve been waiting for (you’ve been waiting right?!) This Apple Cucumber Spinach Green Juice is one of the main juices I drink on my juice fast. It’s like the core recipe to making sure you’re not overloading yourself with fruits but still having a palatable juice at the same time.
Here’s why this spin on a mean green juice is good for you. It contains great vitamins like vitamin C, A and 70% of your daily magnesium allowance (magnesium especially helps women deal with painful cramps). It also contains 8.4mg of iron which of course, the vitamin C content will help in the absorption of. Not to mention that juice cleanses allow your body to absorb nutrients faster (and better), when the fibre is removed. Fibre has its uses though!
Your green juice can have anything you like in it; you want to make sure you’re getting a good amount of vegetables. The idea is to have 1 fruit to about 3/4 different vegetables. Also, make sure you’re rotating your vegetables with each green juice. For example, if I had a green juice with spinach today, I may choose kale or broccoli the next. If I use cucumbers today, I’ll switch for some celery the next. You want to make sure you’re eating a good variety because each vegetable has its unique nutrient properties. My Apple Cucumber Spinach Green Juice is just right for me!
How to make Spinach Juice
This spinach cucumber juice is simply made in a masticating juicer. I always recommend masticating juicers because they are the best for grinding the fruits and vegetables, producing more juice than centrifugal juicers. They also separate a lot more of the fibre from the juice which is what you want to do if you are juice fasting. This does not matter much if you are drinking juices as an everyday habit. I always alternate between soft and hard fruit and vegetables when making my paleo juice recipes. This prevents your juicer getting backed up and pushes more of the fruit through, which means more juice!

I only realised after I made it a part of the series *sigh*. I’ll give you a brief on how to break a juice cleanse or fast safely but really, I just want to get back to giving you dinner recipes ha!

This Apple Cucumber Spinach Green Juice is filled with plenty of vegetables! You can mix and match which green vegetables you use but make sure you use a good amount.
- 2 apples
- 200 g spinach (0.44 lb)
- 2 bell peppers (I used yellow and green)
- 1 cucumber
- 3 carrots (This is to help the ingredients process smoothly)
- 1 lemon
- 1 lime
-
Run all your fruit and veg through your juicer. Alternate between soft and harder fruits and vegetables so that they run through your juicer smoothly and you get the most yield.
This produced about 1 litre of juice for me in total but the serving size is or everyday use.
